Project summary
The “Inclusion Through Art Learning to Enhance Society” project (acronym I-TALES) is a European Erasmus
+ project / Key Action 2 / Adult education. The projects funded under this action are aimed at cooperation for
innovation, development and the transfer of innovative practices in education, training and the provision of
young people among the participating countries. Key Action 2 aims to increase the positive impact of European
activities at all levels to ensure benefits for people, organizations and countries involved in projects

Μπαξέ Τσιφλίκι-Neoi Epivates (Young Passenger) is a small suburban town outside Thessaloniki. The origin of the Neoi Epivates-Young passenger was the arrival of 631 refugees from the town Epivates in Eastern Thrace as a result of the Greco-Turkish War (1919–22)

The final dissemination event had a rich program - songs (Italy, Lithuania) instrumental pieces (Lituania), musical drama (Portugal, Spain), and dances (Cyprus, Greece). All partners also sang the song “Pjoviau šienąin" in the Lithuanian language “ they had learned in the Music workshop held on the previous day.

The activities were prepared according to
Learning Training Teaching Activity
(2nd Blended Mobility-The Journey) organized and hosted By Europe for Diversity Culture and Coexistence.
The participants of the project I-TALES (coordinators, staff members, teachers, learners) from project partner countries (Italy, Greece, Lithuania, Bulgaria Spain, Cyprus, and Portugal, attended their virtual mobility on Zoom video - conferencing service.
Art teachers and students, migrants of second-generation present LIVE and through video the products of the activities implemented according to the LTTA 2 "The Journey"(poetry/narration painting and music )
The partner countries participated with LIVE poetry and narratives illustrated with old family migrants photos, videos, handcraft works, and music symbolizing the difficulty that many immigrants face.
Here is a short summary of the activities
Participants recite part of “Ithaca”, by Konstantinos P. Kavafis-«Ιθάκη», a poem taken from Refuge memories: Baggage By ALEV ANTIL.
Other participants chose to participate with poems and music selected by the second generation of the migrants.
The story '' Istanbul unlimited friend’s stories…Life in Cihangir was beautiful'' is written in Greek and English by Greek migrants of the second generation.
She describes the difficulties that her family faced illustrated with old family photos. videos, music, and fragments from movies.
Not only the difficulties of ''The Journey'' are described through poems and narratives there are described and old beautiful memories'', friends, and food, keeping them alive throughout narratives and passing to the second generation for the preservation of the culture.
The writer describes also The New Life in the host country. Overcoming the difficulties during ''The Journey-My Journey and Your Journey we all have gained so much, so much experience and culture to share with each other.
